FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

How can I book a flight?

You can book your ticket either online on our homepage or via phone and E-mail with our Call Centre. For bookings via our Call Centre a surcharge of EUR 20 per passenger and flight will be charged.

 

How do I pay for my ticket?

For all bookings no matter if booked directly, via the Internet or via our Call Centre you can only pay by credit card (VISA, EuroCard/MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, Airplus).

If you have questions about the payment of tickets booked via a travel agency, please make sure you refer to them.

 

How does my booking get confirmed?

If you book via the Internet, you will receive an E-mail with your booking confirmation and the respective reservation number. If you book via our Call Centre, you will receive this confirmation from our employees also via e-mail or fax. Please keep this confirmation, as you need it to check in for your flight. InterSky does not issue tickets anymore.

 

How does e-ticketing work?

After your booking you will receive a booking confirmation with a reservation number. You will get your boarding pass at check-in by showing this confirmation together with a passport or ID-Card.

 

Does InterSky offer special tariffs for children, teenagers, students, and seniors?

Although InterSky already is a ‘Low-Fare airline’, we do offer the following further discounts:

Infants under 2 years of age (on travel date) will be carried for only EUR 15 (one-way) as long as they sit on an escort’s lab and do not occupy a seat of their own.

Children up to 11 fly for free (excl. taxes and fees) except for bookings in the Blue Fare Class. Children between 5 and 12 are also allowed to travel with InterSky on their own, however, only with advance notification. We charge EUR 30 per flight for this service. For further information, availability, and bookings please contact our Call Centre.

 

When do I have to check in for my flight?

For international flights check-in counters open two hours and close 45 minutes prior scheduled time of departure. After check-in counters have been closed no further passengers will be accepted, no matter if boarding has already started or not.

Therefore, we recommend checking in at least one hour prior to the scheduled time of departure. Late passengers forfeit their booking and do not get a refund or compensation (except Low Fare Business Class). InterSky regrets that in this case it is also not possible to change the booking to a later flight. A few tariffs, however, do allow a change in booking for a surcharge or even for free (Low Fare Business Class). Please be informed about tariff conditions prior to your booking.

 

Does InterSky offer meals on board?

To be able to offer you lowest possible prices for our flights, we have introduced a customer-friendly and efficient ‘low fares – no frills’ service on board. Passengers having booked Blue Fare or Eco Classic can buy drinks and snacks from our Skybar menu by paying cash. We do not accept any credit or debit cards on board of our aircraft. For passengers having booked Eco Premium a drink and snack service is included. There are no special meals available.

The scope of service depends on time and length of the flight. Please ask your flight attendant for details.

 

Can I reserve a seat already at booking?

Yes, you can. Please choose this option directly when booking online or contact our Call Centre. Reservation is free of charge for bookings in Eco Premium. For Blue Fare and Eco Classic travellers we charge EUR 5 per flight. Reserve on time to get your desired seat!

For passengers without reservation, seats will be assigned at check-in based on a ‘first come – first serve’ principle. Due to special procedures when boarding and during flights, passengers with reduced mobility should inform our Call Centre at booking about their physical condition as there are also international security regulations for passengers with reduced mobility and therefore capacity and availability for these seats is limited.

 

How many pieces of baggage am I allowed to take and what are the restrictions?

On principle, InterSky allows 15 kg of checked baggage per passenger on scheduled and charter flights as well as a maximum of 5 kg hand luggage not exceeding the size of 55x20x40 cm. The only exception applies to Eco Premium passengers who are allowed to take 20 kg of checked baggage on scheduled flights. Out of security reasons all pieces of hand luggage have to be able to be stowed away either under the seat or in the overhead luggage racks. In case of excess baggage EUR 5 per kg will be charged by the check-in personnel.

 

Is it save to pay per credit card via the Internet?

All data including credit card details will be encoded for transmission.

 

What about connecting flights?

InterSky is a ‘point-to-point’ airline which means that we transport our passengers directly from point A to point B. Our first priority is to offer cheap tariffs and on time flight performance. Nevertheless, we can not influence many factors like weather, delays out of air traffic control reasons, or technical disturbances. InterSky does not take liability for the transit of passengers or baggage to connecting flights as well as possible costs occurring due to missing a connecting flight no matter if this is an InterSky flight or a flight with another airline.

 

Why do have to pay for my ticket directly at booking?

To be able to offer you lowest possible prices we try to fill up our flights. Our reservation system does not work like other ‘normal’ airlines and does not accept any unpaid bookings which could potentially lead to empty seats on our flights. This is the reason why we only offer tickets to passengers who pay directly by credit card and really want to take their flight.

 

Am I allowed to use electronic devices on board?

The usage of electronic devices is strictly forbidden during take-off and landing. For usage during flight please contact our cabin crew.

 

Am I able to book a rental car via the InterSky homepage?

Yes, you can book your rental car directly via our homepage. We do have an official cooperation contract with Holiday Cars. Just click on the ‘Car’ symbol under ‘online bookings’ on the left hand side.

 

Am I able to book a hotel via the InterSky homepage?

Yes, you can book your hotel directly via our homepage. We do have an official cooperation contract with HRS, the hotel reservation system. Just click on the ‘Hotel’ symbol under ‘online bookings’ on the left hand side.

Am I able to take out travel insurance via InterSky?

Yes, you can take out travel insurance via InterSky. We do have an official cooperation contract with Elvia Insurances. For the settlement of a travel insurance and exact conditions please contact our Call Centre: +43 5574 488 00 46 (Mo – Fr from 8 am till 6 pm).
